Description: Thursday we had up to 60 mph wind gusts which knocked down trees and made a general mess of things. Many people lost power for the entire day, some longer. One solar panel rack was torn apart so we removed the solar panels and put them away for the winter. Friday morning the power was still blinking on and off at times. This is driving me to increase our off grid solar power battery banks. We can make it through one day of clouds and then we need grid backup. We have recently not seen the sun much at all though and the grid power has been very unstable. My media server is not off the grid so I was not able to get a video uploaded all week. I am going to start making small off grid solar power systems for individual needs. One example will be an energy efficient solar powered home media server which will never go down again.
