Description: Tapasya 56- An Institution: The Teacher's Tapasya As SDN enters its 35th year, we present the 56th episode of Tapasya to you with a nostalgic journey of the institution's origin and evolution. "Rome was not built in a day", is a well known saying, which aptly applies to the Arts, and certainly to the gradual building of an institution which has to be built with building blocks of hard work, patience, perseverance and faith. In this 56th episode and the coming few episodes, we will be taking you through a reminiscent journey of SDN and the lessons that we have learnt along the way... Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month. The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month. Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.
