As cds get more scarcity these type of mix tapes become more valuable. Album contains 15 songs with a handful full of features. As a label and a business making mix tapes now in days don’t make sense. As lyrics and beats are more available, making a mixtape is not very profitable or economical for the artist putting it together. The studio cost is the same cost as recording a original song. Writing lyrics come with talent and is spent on a beat that won’t be available everywhere. We can’t forget getting features come at a cost as well, and since a mix tape cant be distributed it really cuts down the outreach and any chance to make profit. However Jasper’s idea was to do music for the people, keep it grass root and pretty much the old fashion hustle. He want’s to give back and stay active in the scene.
