Description: "Kanya” produced by “Niraj Chag” is a fusion composition to which this kathak piece has been choreographed. It presents the myriad of emotions that dance creates in one's life. The choreography is unique in its absence of deep details of the abhinaya aspect, as the story being told is of dance itself. The spins and postures of the choreography follow the ebbs and flows of the composition as well as nature and the universe to depict the contrasting energy created by dance. Sometimes very tender and other times full of fervor, dance is an outlet and an anchor which grounds the dancer through their life's journey. Performed by Priyanka Mehta, Reva Nair and Tara Nair. Choreography by Purvi Bhatt Social media handles: instagram.com/lasya.academy facebook.com/kathaklasya Tara Nair: instagram.com/taranair Rêva Nair: instagram.com/revanair16 Priyanka Mehta: instagram.com/_priyanka.mehta_ To learn classical music with a popular twist, sign up at indianraga.com/ragalabs To feature in an IndianRaga production, apply to be an IndianRaga Fellow at indianraga.com/fellowship IndianRaga brings together the best musicians and dancers across 60 international cities to collaborate on high quality music videos viewed by millions of people globally.
