You won't believe the posh accommodations at the airport our first night! We covered lots of territory in the pluber until we finally reach the Desert Mountain. In the mountains we saw elk and a bear. Those elk antlers were just the sheds we were looking for! The camping set up was SO much more posh than the airport! But is was cold! Watch as we eat at camp and try to stay warm. Did you know that is snows in the desert? Would you drink "desert water"? How many elk sheds do you think we will gather? He works with his Dad and two brothers. They raise Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Cattle, and Cats. They background all the cattle and then graze them in the Flint Hills and they end up at the feedyards in Western Kansas. The farm was started in the mid 30's by his grandpa who immigrated from West Prussia in 1923 when he was 9. Growing up, Derek's family priorities consisted of church, family, work, music, and eating a lot. He now has his own family of three cute girls along with his wife Kara. Derek spends his time working on the farm, dancing with his girls, and making YouTube videos.
