Generation Kill is a 2008 HBO television show that depics the recon marine corps in Iraq and shows an honest look at how war is a mistake where everything goes wrong and both brave, brilliant and dumb and scared soldiers try their best. The show is similar to Jarhead and different to American Sniper as it shows the military and the Iraq war as accurate and nuanced instead of glorifying or dehumanizing the young soldiers involed in the war. Generation Kill features young recon marines in war as otherwise never seen before. The show both the funny side of the military as the serious side. Funny marines joke about sex and Suberbad while simultaneously they are faced by the morality of war. I based this video on the Generation Kill trailer I created years ago. The Recon Marines in this show are amazing. Especially teenage dirtbag as a song that is sung by the marines stands out.
