Description: Ron Fleming was one of the founding members of woodturning in the United States. His groundbreaking approach of carving his turned pieces opened the floodgates for artistic expression in the Woodturning world. He was the person who inspired me to start turning. He was my mentor and teacher. In 2017 Ron was awarded the American Association of Woodturners’ POP Merit Award. I had the honor of making this video, documenting Ron’s life, for his award ceremony.
