Description: Thank you so much for 15.000 subscribers! I'm celebrating with a cake that I've longed to make for a long time ;) Harry's birthday cake :D I had fun making this one, but this is probable one of the very few baking creations I will ever make ;) hope you enjoy even though I could have used a better green icing in this video :D Step 1 The Cake 00:05 I ended up making this x2 to get a higher cake :) 200g Room tempered butter 270g Granulated sugar 3 eggs 60g Cocoa powder 300g Flour ½ tbs Baking powder 1 ½ tbs Baking soda 1 tbs Vanilla powder 1 tbs Salt 270g Ice cold water 00:09 Cover the bottom of a springform or cake pan with removable bottom 00:16 Grease the side 00:19 Dust with cocoa 00:23 Beat butter and sugar until white and fluffy 00:31Add the eggs one at a time 00:43 Sieve the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl 00:52 Add some of the dry ingredients and alternate with the water 01:10 Pour it in to the cake pan 01:15 Bake for about 35-40 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius 01:16 Take of the rim and let cool completely Step 2 Nutella Mousse 01:21 2 Gelatin sheets 300g Nutella 3 dl Whipping cream If you want, raspberries :3 01:25 Add the gelatin sheets in cold water for 5 minutes 01:27 Heat half of the cream with Nutella on the stove until smooth 01:35 Add the gelatin sheets in the warm cream 01:38 Let it dissolve and allow to cool 01:43 Pour the remaining cream 01:46 Whisk it together so it gets creamy 01:50 Level the bottom 01:55 Add the rim 01:58 Pour in the mousse 02:00 Add some berries if you want Step 3 Strawberry Mousse 02:04 250g Strawberries 2 tbsp of icing sugar 2 tbs lemon juice 4dl Whipping cream 4 Gelatin Sheets Pink or Red food coloring 02:07 Pour all the ingredients into a pot and heat it up on the stove until boiling 02:11 Mash the strawberries 02:15 Sieve them to remove lumps and seeds 02:27 Add the gelatin sheets in cold water for 5 minutes 02:31 Add the gelatin sheets in the warm strawberry sauce. If needed, reheat the sauce in the microwave for a few seconds to dissolve the gelatin, let cool down 02:35 Pour the cream into a bowl 02:38 Add the food color 02:41 Whisk until fluffy 02:45 In another bowl, add the strawberry sauce 02:46 Add the whipped cream in small portions until fully combined 03:00 For easier control when applying the mousse to the cake, I used a disposable piping bag :) Step 4 Letters 03:06 Green Icing for cakes, like buttercream frosting or something like that. Template: facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2130680477211262.1073741839.1744622715817042&type=1&l=fcdaa51702 !! I used the wrong type of icing for the letters… so they will melt, if you use the wrong one, if the cake is not to be consumed right after you have applied the letters!! :) Pipe on the letters directly on the cake if you are not going to use the same method as me :) Use the template and trace it on the surface of the cake with a tooth pick and then pipe on the green buttercreamfrosting :D Assembling the cake! 03:35 Place the cake on a nice plate :D 03:37 Add the top layer, bottoms up for a nice and smooth surface ;) 03:41 Pipe on a small amount of the strawberry mousse, a crumb coat 03:57 Let the mousse set in the freeser for a few minuets 03:59 Add the rest of the mousse and smooth it out, place in in the fridge until the mousse setts 04:15 Use a template to trace out the cracks on the cake 04:30 Pipe on the letters instead of placing them out, use buttercramfrosting 04:57 you can actually see the icing melting here ;) Why not follow me on Instagram? instagram.com/thecraftmaiden Music: Bright Future - Silent Partner
