A mathematically calculated combination of perspective and the physics of reflection produce this striking illusion that works in many configurations. 👉🏻 Magnetic Suspension Lamp: not only does this lamp defy gravity, the LEDs in the bulb are powered through wireless induction- and controlled by the switch in the base. 👉🏻 UV Color Changing Beads: the photochromic pigment molecules in the white beads actually change shape when struck by UV light, and the new shape alters their absorption properties such that they reflect brilliant colors. The color is temporary- when removed from UV exposure, room temperature thermal energy bumps the molecules back into their original configuration, and the color fades back to white in a few minutes. 👉🏻 Computational Caustic Projection: an image is formed by refraction through a free form lens in a new process that utilizes the physics behind how light is concentrated into caustics. 👉🏻 Generator Teaching Demo: The electrical energy that comes to your home is produced by some device somewhere moving a coil of wire next to a magnet to produce an electric current (known as Faraday’s law of induction). If the two on the left are set to swing, soon the middle sphere is at rest while the two outside swing, then the one on the far left comes to rest and it starts the pattern over on the right.
