Description: Anne Frank was born in Germany on June 12, 1929. She moved with her parents to Amsterdam, Netherlands at age 4 when the Nazis took over Germany. She went into hiding in 1942 and after 2 years was captured with her family by the nazis and sent to Auschwitz concentration camp. She was then transferred to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp with her sister Margo, where they both died a few months later of typhus, when Anne was 15, just 2-3 months before the liberation by the Allied troops. Her father, Otto was the only family member who survived. He returned to the place where the family had hid for 2 years and found Anne's diary which has been made into a movie and was the source for several books, with its rich historical value and amazing quotes Anne made about life.
