This strategy allows the instructor to create assessments that are unique and limit the opportunities for academic dishonesty. Additionally, culturally relevant curriculums that relate to students’ backgrounds, interests, and experiences are known to engage students. This session also invites attendees to contribute to a brainstorming session on designing this type of assessment in their own courses, whether it be organic chemistry or not.
