Description: Crochet my gorgeous strawberry tea cosy with this pattern. To begin you will need to make 2 pieces in the corner to corner pattern, these need to be 9 blocks by 9 blocks. Leave tail end about 10 hooks long for joining. I have used double knit yarn and a 4mm/G6 hook. You will also need to make a coaster to add to the base. Coaster pattern Begin with a chain of 2, then work single crochet if you're in the US or double crochet if you're in the UK. Round 1 is 6 stitches in total worked in the beginning chain Round 2 is 2 stitches in each stitch total 12 stitches Round 3 is one stitch in the next 2 stitches, 2 in the next total 18 stitches Round 4 is one stitch in the next 3 stitches, 2 in the next total 24 stitches Round 5 is one stitch in the next 4 stitches, 2 in the next total 30 stitches Round 6 is one stitch in the next 5 stitches, 2 in the next total 36 stitches Round 7 is one stitch in the next 6 stitches, 2 in the next total 42 stitches slip stitch in the next, chain 3, skip 2, slip stitch in the next, repeat all around. Remember the first three slip stitches must join the coaster to the tea cosy Petals in UK terms slip stitch, chain 1, half treble, treble, chain 2, slip stitch in top of last stitch, treble, half treble, chain 1, slip stitch, all in the chain 3 space.
