Description: Walt Disney Animation Studios is finally going back to their roots. Thanks to Mickey Mouse's first major appearance in Steamboat Willie, Disney became a master in 2D animation. They've largely abandoned the style starting in the 2000s, but things are about to change. The Princess and the Frog, along with Winnie The Pooh, were Disney's final hand-drawn stories on the big screen. Since then, they've focused on CG movies like Frozen, Big Hero 6, Moana, and Encanto. For the first time in more than a decade, however, Disney will be giving us brand new fully 2D content. We know the renaissance period featuring The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast, and more... but will Disney have ANOTHER renaissance in the near future?
