However, the vocals just didn’t work with the song the way I wanted so I removed them. I still wanted to feature some vocal elements though, so instead of keeping the full vocals, I turned them into vocal chops. The vocal chops fit pretty nicely to the song and they give that cool cipher feeling. I also like the melancholic atmosphere of the song that is created by the melodies together with the vocal elements and synths. All in all, I’m very glad that I was able to use the vocals even though I had to chop them. In fact, it was actually a good thing that the vocals didn’t work because then I would not have made the vocal chops.
