Description: Researchers studied more than 2,000 dogs to understand the connection between dog breed and behavioral characteristics. They found that physical traits like ear shape and fur color are a good predictor of breed But while genetics play a role in an individual dog’s personality, a dog’s breed doesn’t determine much about its behavior, going against conventional thinking. Research on genes and behavior in our furry companions can also serve as a model for studying complex behavior in other species - including our own.
