Description: Dear friends, recently we uploaded a video about a mess tin we found. We wanted to trace the family of the soldier who once owned it. After the video aired, it took only 3 days to get in touch with the family of this man, thanks to you! We have sent the mess tin to the sons of R.L. Ordean, who were very happy. Afterwards, two fellow-diggers (Chicolama and Veritable) contacted us. They also found 2 mess tins, with names, and they also wanted to get in contact with the relatives of these soldiers. We offered them our help. This video is about one of those mess tins. To make the engravings readible, they used a temporary marker. To be clear, this is not our find, we are just trying to help. We will forward your comments and tips to these gentlemen. Thanks! The information we have so far: The military records of James A.
