Description: What makes this possible? The NooElec SDR Dongle- goo.gl/FEt5Az Downloading weather directly from NOAA (and Meteor) weather satellites is one of the most interesting things you can do with Software Defined Radio or SDR for short. This SDR Tutorial will show you how to setup your dongle and computer to download satellites as they pass overhead. This is a little more involved than some of the other things you can do because you have to buy or make a weather satellite antenna, or Quadrifiliar Helicoidal Antenna, QHF Antenna for short. Good news! I built one and put together a tutorial on the Tin Hat Ranch website, check it out- goo.gl/SEh1Lx If you are new or stumbled upon this video, you might want to check out the first in the series- goo.gl/HkXsHv We talked about a number of things in this video: WXtoImage download- goo.gl/4mpNBj Virtual Audio Cable- goo.gl/pQsUyd QHF Antenna Tutorial- goo.gl/SEh1Lx
