As a lure maker and fisherman I have been strapping them and shoving them in places where I wouldn’t dream of putting a full sized digital camera; including underwater. The only trouble with using these cameras underwater is unless you get wet you have really no idea what you’re filming. This can be frustration to find an afternoon’s footage is not really what you expected. Although most gopros have wifi these days that can connect your camera to a mobile phone for a preview , the trouble is wifi seldom travels more than a couple of inches in water before becoming unusable for a connection. To get round this I used some coaxial cable the kind stuff used for tv aerials, to make the connection between the gopro and smartphone. With the camera one end of a pole and the mobile on the other I could connect and get a live feed from the camera so I didn't have to leave it all to chance My Youtube channel Is youtube.com/channel/UCHsV...
