How To Make Delicious Cabbage, Peas and Rice. #Mesomakingit Rice spice - amzn.to/3xnyiBP Pans - amzn.to/2XxxtsZ Peas Rice and Cabbage 1 can Red Kidney Beans (rinse and drain) ¼ cup Chopped Onion 1 tbsp. Thyme 1 to 2 tbsp. mince Garlic ½ tsp. Allspice ½ tsp. Black Pepper ½ tsp. Spice It Rite (optional) 1 ½ cup Chicken Broth Rinse and drain 1 can red kidney beans pour into pan. Add all remaining ingredients. Bring to boil then reduce heat to medium low. Allow to cook for 30 minutes or until liquid broth is gone. Keep an eye on it. When liquid is gone combine beans and rice. Stir very well to evenly distribute beans throughout rice. Serve and enjoy! Rice 3 Cups Water 1 ½ Cups Rice Butter (if desired and to taste) Dash of Salt Always measure water (2 to 1) to the rice; no matter how much you are making. Ex. 3 cups water and 1 ½ cups rice. Boil water, sprinkle in salt, then add rice, stir, reduce heat to simmer and cover. Allow to cook 12 to 15 minutes. Do not lift lid until 12 minutes have passed. The remove lid, taste to check for doneness, fluff with fork, add butter (if desired) place lid back on pot and let sit until time to serve. Cabbage Small Cabbage (rough chopped) Carrot (cut in rounds) 2 to 3 Tbsp. Oil Salt / Pepper / Garlic (to taste) Allow oil to get screaming hot then add cabbage and carrots. Begin to stir like you would for a stir-fry and continue throughout cooking. Cook for approximately 12 – 15 minutes then cover and set aside until you are ready to serve.
