When you get to the posting stage, tap Tag People. Tap the image where you want the tag to appear. Type in the name of the person you want to tag, then tap their username. Now you can adjust the placement of your tag if necessary. Below, tap Show Profile Category to add more information to your tag. The category listed on their profile will be added. This is a great way to enhance your tags and give credit when someone has collaborated with you on a post. For example, a photographer might want to tag the model, makeup artist, designer, etc. they worked with on a photo shoot. With enhanced tagging, the category labels those users have listed on their profiles will appear on the tags, so people looking at the tags will know who did what. It’s also a great way to give better exposure to brands or people you’re tagging in a post so people know what they do before potentially clicking on their tag. Note that the ”show profile category” option will only be available when tagging accounts of creators or businesses that have already added a category to their profile. These enhanced tags work in the same way as normal tags on Instagram, so once you share your post, the tags will appear as an overlay when you tap on the image.
