Description: I caught COVID-19 in The PHILIPPINES and it was BAD (i was hospitalized). Heres it is clatts. safetywing.com?referenceID=clatt&utm_source=clatt&utm_medium=Ambassador This is my COVID 19 experience in the Philippines. Hey guys some notes from Me and The team over at SafetyWing - Nomad Insurance is referred to as 'Health Insurance' it is in fact 'Travel Medical Insurance' (this is important as it does not cover things like pre-existing conditions, it can just be used for emergency medical care, like what I needed when contracting Covid 19 abroad). - I accidentally mentioned that they cover everything to do with COVID - That could be misconstrued, in fact, Safety Wing covers medical costs and $50/day in quarantine costs if conditions are met. And most importantly: - At 18:55 I mention that I signed up for Nomad Insurance because I had some ongoing health issues and you were worried they could develop into something in the future. To clarify this point as I misspoke. At some point in Siargao there was a fear of mine a year prior to catching Covid that I might get sick due to a parasite in the water supply. I only signed up the Nomad Insurance once I was recovered and over a year healthy from the parasite. I had completed blood work showing proof that I was not sick with any condition prior to signing up for this insurance, and only opted in to the program based on a fear that I could get sick with anything else or experience any emergency medical condition in the future. Signing up to insurance while having a fear or existing medical condition is seen as a big no-no in the insurance world as what I described would be considered as a pre-existing issue and would not be covered by NI insurance (except for acute onset of pre-ex conditions). That's a big no-no in the insurance world as what I described would be considered as a pre-existing issue and would not be covered by NI insurance (except for acute onset of pre-ex conditions). All that being said I am still a big believer in the Safety Wing Product and Love this company! I apologize for misspeaking and hope this clears things up. ✔ Join the family subscribe!
