Description: It's been nearly two weeks since the passing of our friend Luke and we are still in shock, it doesn't feel real. Why him? Why was he taken at such a young age? The questions we have no answer for are sometimes the hardest to find reason in. Luke was an amazing soul, he LOVED riding and was very talented, he also loved this road, tail of the dragon. Sometimes the things that make us feel alive are also the things that can take that life away. I still remember the first time we met Luke, Heather and I were at the top of the dragon lookout when all of a sudden this young kid (16 years old at the time) comes up to me and looking away from me in the shyest voice every says "What's up Salt?" like he knew exactly who I was, there was no question about it haha he was so shy! I kept telling Heather he reminded me of my younger brother the way he was so shy and quiet. We began riding together that evening and I was blown away by just how talented this guy was! I had NEVER seen someone his age so skillful and he made it look effortless. We rode together quite a few times on that trip and kept in touch until our next trip back to the dragon. We could always count on seeing Luke up at the dragon (I swear he lived there) haha. Luke is one of those people that if you get the chance to meet him you will never forget him. His smile was infectious, and the energy he carried was so positive and humble. I wanted to make this video of our last ride together to honor him and remember him by. My heart breaks for everyone in Luke's family, his girlfriend, his friends, his classmates, everyone who ever met him. You will be missed dearly my friend. Rest in peace.
