Description: In this tutorial we explain a simple method for taking a foot impression using Monster Gel alginate. Monster Gel is a new alginate formula with a 2:1 mix ratio. 2 Parts dry alginate to 1 part warm water. Monster Gel works best with warm water and is formulated for use with warm, or even hot water so you can still have plenty of working time. For this mold we used the "Regular" set which allows for about 4-5 minutes of working time. The astute viewer will notice that I apply release to my daughter's left foot and mold the right foot. This is because we actually molded both feet in this session but used the video of one cast. This has resulted in mild confusion for which I apologize. I meant to address that in the voice over. You can find Monster Gel Regular here: brickintheyard.com/products/monster-gel-csf-all-sizes-speeds?_pos=2&_sid=4a90d065a&_ss=r PlatSil FS-10 is here: brickintheyard.com/products/platsil-fs-10?_pos=1&_sid=f1d109511&_ss=r
