The part that gets to me, is the difference that is stated between a man and a boy is that this is not an age thing but more of a personality thing. A man can be as young as 20 years old and a boy can be as old as 35 years old, all depending on how they think and act. The first two women claim that a man who lifts his woman and reassures her is a man. This cannot be further from the truth because you are not responsible for anyone else’s success but your own and that of your family. It is true, however, that a man who is secure in himself will not put down a woman so that he can feel good about himself. Anyone who does that is a weak man. Certain expectations have been placed on men to pamper women around and those who choose not to live by this standard have been branded as immature, incapable of love, among other things. A man can very well be mature and capable of giving love to a woman but not take a knee whenever he finds a woman who needs saving. That is not love. That is not a prerequisite to a good relationship. The ideal way to look at this is to act from a place of respect for the other person. Don’t be too unrealistic in how you conduct yourself in relationships as well as in other interactions. Establishing a successful relationship will no doubt require you to be more sensitive to your partner. This will avail the opportunity for a mutual connection. A huge ego is the biggest enemy of a successful relationship. With a big ego, it is rare to accept that you are wrong or take the time to understand a different perspective. Accepting your mistakes, apologizing, and taking responsibility for your actions are important traits in any person. With this, it is easy for your partner to interact with you and trust your perception.
