We have spent the past couple of months together, living slowly and simply - its been a beautiful summer. But I am feeling fresh and ready to create in 2020. Our morning routine has changed a bit now with two kids - but we always try to start the day off in a positive way. I love moving my body first thing and listening to an audiobook, eating healthy food, cuddles (of course), play, being outside, swimming, and also some quiet time to meditate/journal etc. I am incredibly grateful that we are able to do this in the morning. Before we began this lifestyle I would often get up at 4am before Chris left for work & Aya woke up so that I could have some time to myself. When I am out walking I really stay as mindful as I can, feeling my body, the elements on my skin. Trying my best to stay in a state of admiration and appreciation for everything around me! Cultivating the feeling of gratitude first thing in the morning is such a powerful way to start your day! I am currently listening to "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" - I love any books filled with positive affirmations as I find them really helpful at directing my thoughts in a positive way :) During summer I love starting the morning with a smoothie bowl, or fresh fruit (Theres loads of awesome recipes in the bundle if you are feeling stuck on ideas - bit.ly/jintibundlelove) And then Later I will make a bigger cooked meal. During mediation I prefer to be in silence, but if I do want a guided mediation I usually jump on Youtube to find one. Youtube has so many great free videos, another thing I love listening to is Abraham Hicks in the morning - especially when I am tidying up or doing the dishes. Quality play time, when we are fully present with our children is also incredibly important to us. So whilst either Chris or I have alone time, the other is usually deep in play with Aya. Also, on occasion she does a kids yoga or dance class online (like in this video). Anyway thats a bit about our mornings.
