Description: Metroid Fusion (2002) was the fourth and last chronological entry in the Metroid series. As far as we knew, it was the end of Samus's story. Five years later, we found a small tease in Metroid Prime 3 (2007), saying that Metroid project "Dread" is nearing the final stages of completion. However, Nintendo later confirmed that this Dread game had been cancelled. Beginning in 2010, with the release of Metroid: Other M, the series entered a state of hiatus, with only a spinoff and a remake since. In 2021, the year of Metroid's 35th anniversary, Nintendo revealed the fifth entry in the main series: Metroid Dread. This is the single most important release in Metroid's 35-year history. We never believed Dread was real. This video is my own small way of celebrating a unique event in one of the most artistically accomplished works in this entire medium.
