Description: I spend a week with the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 to see how it compares to its main two rivals, the Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen ID.4. I also see what the efficiency is like in winter driving. There's some things the Ioniq 5 does better than the competition, like having a sportier feel with more power and better handling in addition to the much faster charging rate. But unlike other Hyundais, this isn't a value play, being priced right in line with all the other EV competitors and this loaded Limited AWD trim costing nearly $56,000 as-tested.
