Description: CHECK OUT OUR MERCH: redbubble.com/people/blinky500/shop?asc=u Tired of being at constant odds with her, Matt Murdock summons Spider-Woman to broker a peace agreement between them. But will Gwen Stacy allow herself to be taken under the Kingpin's wing so easily? A WORD FROM CHRIS This short exists because of how much I enjoy working with Julia Weaver. After stepping in last minute to her roles as Bubbles and Sublime in The Powerpuff Girls, and Gen¹³ respectively, and saving my projects from falling into recasting limbo, I felt it was only necessary to show my gratitude and give Julia a well earned lead role. And what better role than that of Gwen Stacy? No, the other Gwen Stacy, the one with the powers. The idea for this one was rather simple. Like I do with all fan films, I force myself to become a resident expert on whatever subject I tackle with a healthy amount of research before putting pen to paper. With Gwen Stacy, I discovered that on her Earth, Matt Murdock was the Kingpin and at several points, tried to bring her over to the dark side as his apprentice. I liked that angle, and it was definitely something Matt would, compared to Wilson Fisk. Once I had had my bearings for the story and where I wanted to go with it, I began scripting. I also choreographed this fight entirely, which depending on how good of a stunt coordinator you are is either a good or a bad thing. Thankfully, Julia has a background in cheerleading and tumbling, and after seeing her punch the crap out of Kelli Kickham in Gen¹³, I was pretty confident she could handle herself as Gwen. The fight was an interesting beast to tackle as it takes up quite a large portion of the story. Julia picked it up rather easily, and Christian Hosler, who stepped into the role of Matt less than 72 hours before filming, did pretty damn good. I forgot to mention we had a last minute recasting issue with Matt Murdock as well, which was a nightmare unto itself. Thankfully, filming went off without a hitch. Because I knew my actors were going to get put through the ringer, we did all the dialog scenes firsts, including the scenes post knockout. Then one we were done, we did the fight. Then after we wrapped with the fight, Julia put on her mask and we shot the opening and ending coverage for her. I did this because I knew that mask was gonna mess up her makeup, and to no surprise, it totally did. Once she pulled that thing off, her eyes were all smudged up. I'm just thankful I was able to figure that all out ahead of schedule rather than shooting the entire thing chronologically. Had I done that, everyone would've looked like crap within the first minute. #spiderman #spidergwen #ghostspider #spiderwoman #spidergirl #spidermannowayhome #spidermannowayhometrailer
