His 9 and 8 second Civics are legendary and even displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. In the mid 2000's he transitioned to drifting and became a team owner and builder with own Papadakis Racing. His team has won two Formula Drift championships with Tanner Foust behind the wheel and one championship with driver Fredric Aasbo.
