Following on from the release of her latest captivating single ‘Rewind’ featuring Oscar Dawson, Sydnee Carter unveils the accompanying music video. Filmed in Sydnee’s native Perth and produced/directed by Jess Wharehinga, the ‘Rewind’ video features home video footage of Sydnee as a child, adding to the wistful and nostalgic vibes of the song. “I knew for a song like this one with so much emotion and nostalgia, I needed someone really special who could understand the story and put it into action,” explains Sydnee. “I knew immediately if we did a video, it had to be Jess. we approached the video so it would capture the essence of the song in its simplicity but not over-do/overcrowd the video so the song got lost. Jess made a beautiful piece of art and 1000% stepped up to the plate to make what we now have.
