This parade - and the weekend-long Tokyo Rainbow Pride Festival - celebrate gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and other sexual minorities in Japan. In the 11 years that we've been covering the Gay Pride Parades in Tokyo, we have seen this event grow so much. There are a lot of big corporate sponsors now and many more people come out to show their support for the Japanese LGBT community than did a decade ago.
