Description: Designer Staci Munic gives Rick Spence a tour of her renovated home in Palm Springs, California. Notable local architect William Francis Cody built the original home in the 1960s, but a renovation in the 1980s brought in elements such as glass blocks, curved walls and basic tile that Munic wanted to get rid of. She removed those curved walls to create a more open and airy great room that she imagines Cody would appreciate. She also replaced dated materials with terrazzo-look porcelain tile floors and wood-look laminate cabinetry throughout the home. Soft textiles and thoughtful artwork emphasize fresh desert modern style. Art by Cudra Clover: houzz.com/pro/webuser-759974183/cudra-clover
