Description: We went to Volcano Bay waterpark in Orlando, FL for some family-friendly fun time. The best place to stay when doing Volcano Bay waterpark is definitely Cabana Bay resort by Universal Studios. The waterpark is walking distance from the hotel, and we kept our car parked in the shaded garage on premise while we swam and played all day. Cabana Bay resort has 2 pools with a waterslide and a lazy river. They play movies poolside nightly at sunset. There is a food court and bowling alley as well. The rooms are very 60's bowling alley themed I'd say. You could have all of the fun just staying at the resort to be honest. Onto Volcano Bay, first of all it is huge and very busy. The volcano itself is quite the sight to see. Our favorite part was definitely the fast moving river where you have to wear a life vest. We could have stayed in there all day, just a little more fun than a lazy river. The watch devices they give everyone definitely helps save people from waiting in hot lines. By the time your buzzer goes off you only wait no more than 15 minutes in line. All in all it was a high energy fun day. Bring your own small cooler for snacks and drinks.
