Description: Welcome to the first European SLAPP Contest - the alternative awards ceremony for giving some well-deserved recognition to Europe’s worst legal bullies and corporate shysters. We might not have the razzle dazzle of the Eurovision Song Contest, but we do have a spotlight for billionaire bullies, authoritarian politicians and ethically dubious lawyers across the continent who have been using Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation to attack, intimidate and harass those who speak out against what they’ve been up to behind closed doors. Join the Coalition Against SLAPPs in Europe (CASE) from Amsterdam, the Netherlands - near the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest’s host city of Rotterdam! - and help our MEP judges give these bullies the spotlight they so richly deserve.
