Description: Ahead of this year's Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, Erik Anders Lang hopped in a van with a crew of 9 people and set out to explore all the great golf the state of Wisconsin has to offer. Not just the courses, but the people whose stories everyone should hear. They had 72 hours to hit the pavement and find the most compelling and diverse stories from inside the state. The result? The 'Wisconsin Uncovered' Series, presented by Chase Sapphire. The first stop on our road trip is at the Dretzka Park Golf Course, where Erik and the group meet up with the first Black PGA professional of the Wisconsin section of the PGA. Hanc Spivey is a local legend in the Milwaukee area, who was the beloved pro at Dretzka before retiring just a few years back. When starting the trip, an old photo of Hanc with Tiger Woods caught our eye, and when we heard more about him, we just had to meet him. We think you'll like him, too. Erik is joined by three friends and storytellers in the golf world who joined forces to start the podcast Group Golf Therapy, which positions their couch at the intersection of golf and mental health. Connor Laubenstein is a writer for RGC whose lens into golf starts with caddie culture. Drew Westphal is a golfer, fashion expert, and RGC Wisconsin Ambassador. Bradford Wilson is an actor, filmmaker, and avid golfer on a mission to tell untold stories in golf, and in particular Black golf stories. Stay tuned for more as we gear up for next week's Ryder Cup and meet with Native American golfers of the Oneida Tribe in Green Bay and have a chance run-in with the daughter of Ryder Cup Captain Steve Stricker. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the trip. And a big thank you to our friends at Chase Sapphire for making this all possible!
