Description: The lower limbs are a significant part of the appendicular skeleton and it is the structural support system if the leg, foot and thighs and includes the phalanges, tarsals, the tibia and fibula, the femur and the metatarsals. The femur is the first lower limb skeleton and is the longest bone in the human body forming the thigh bone running all the way to the knees.
