These puzzles are rumored to be a recruitment form for the CIA, MI6 or even Microsoft. 4. The Taos Hum The Taos Hum is a low pitched sound heard in numerous places worldwide, only 2% of the world population can actually hear it. It is described as sounding like a distant diesel engine. The origin and nature of this low frequency sound is unknown and it caused few suicides among its "hearers". 3. The Tarim mummies These mummies were discovered about 2,000 years ago in the Tarim basin of Western China. They are amazingly well preserved, but what's really impressive is the fact that they are of European genetic stock, including blond hair and long nose.
