Description: Factoring a quadratic expression into a pair of linear expressions is one of the primary methods used to solve quadratic equations. In the previous lecture, we introduced a method for factoring quadratics using a trial and error process called "factoring by inspection", and showed how this process works in the simplest case when the x-squared coefficient is one. In this lecture, we will see how to factor a quadratic by inspection when the coefficient of x squared is not one.
