"So proud to finally present an extremely special and personal senior project that I’ve been working on for the past few months... This piece represents the long, complicated, messy, frustrating, yet REWARDING journey of self-discovery. We all have our moments. Society demands too much of us, so we plaster a smile on our faces and assure everyone that everything’s okay, everything’s fine, even though we’re crumbling on the inside. I’ve learned that, in these exhausting moments, all you can do is breathe. Take a moment, remove yourself from the outside world, and recenter your energy and your intentions. Remind yourself that everything happens for a reason, and that it’s truly okay not to be okay. But no matter how terrible things may seem in the moment, life is way too short to be spent worrying about something that isn’t worth your time. You’re ultimately the one that decides how and where to invest your own emotional energy. So don’t wait— remove toxicity from your life now and surround yourself with people that help you thrive. Choose your authentic self and stop seeking validation from others. Remember that while social media can be a great platform to connect with others, it is essentially a facade— one designed to pull you into a vicious cycle of comparing your own real life to the highlight reel of someone else’s. At the end of the day, there’s only one authentic you, so stay true to yourself and do what’s best for you. Spread love always and be there for others (especially now when the world needs it most), but most importantly stay in tune with and be there for yourself. Bella, I’m so unbelievably proud of you and the human/artist you are becoming. Lastly thank you to those who continue to inspire me in unimaginable ways— I wouldn’t even be here without you.
