Description: Would you kayak out to sea at night, with a tuna head for bait, and lower a camera and light down 280m to see what deep sea monsters live down there? The crystal-clear, warm tropical waters around Christmas Island are impossibly deep, making it an incredible place to explore the deep sea environment on a shoestring budget like this! Imagine being able to just kayak 5 minutes from shore, and already be in 500m of water! I was amazed to find sixgill sharks here - a real living fossil that can grow to 6-8m long!
