Description: Hi everyone! My name is Madeleine Harvey! I'm a vocal coach. Today, I'm reacting to Dimash Kudaibergen singing S.O.S. I hope that within this video you will see how Dimash makes his vocal choices and how those choices better connect you to your own voice. One of the biggest secrets to Dimash belting the way he does is the unique combination of acoustics and resistance. He's able to sing high because he approaches the note by going down to it. This keeps his larynx in a nice stable position for pretty much any coordination. He can transition into the rock belt once he moves through the feeling of a yawn. This allows him to sing high without strain and gives him a nice rounded tone. His coordinations are so clean! Which tells me he has built up his instrument over time. Notice how he glides through his sounds with a beautiful tender tone quality. This means he is not carrying a lot of weight in his sound, but allowing the breath to carry his voice completely. This is a fantastic way to increase range and increase tone quality when singing. He plays his vocal cords almost like violin strings. He allows the cords to zip up while feeling every note in between. If you want to learn how to sing high, how to belt high, how to rock belt, and how to sing like Dimash Kudaibergen this video is an excellent one to study!
