The title of this album is a reference to the town of Plaisance, Guyana, where Eddy Grant was born in 1948. Plaisance was released on September 15, 2017 and is one of Eddy's favourite as he stated in an interview with UK Music Reviews; "I believe that it is the best recording that I have made to date. I am absolutely over the moon with the result". Eddy released this album through his own small record company Greenheart Music.
