Description: French impressionist painters such as Claude Monet and Renoir advocated plein air painting. Plein air is the name given to painting pictures out of doors. British artist Tom Marsh also shares a passion for painting outdoors, in front of the subject, and capturing the essence of their surroundings with freshness and energy. Tom has a degree in Illustration and Fine Art from the University of Kent in Canterbury. He now paints exclusively in oils and in the “plein air” style which gives him the purest sense of immersion and capture.
