Description: In this video I restore an old shop stool I bought from Woodcraft a number of years ago. The stool seat and backrest are an end grain checkerboard pattern using walnut and ash. That combination would make a very nice cutting board or chess board. The seat attaches with threaded inserts. In the video I demonstrate using a rudimentary arc jig to mark and cut the arc relief in the backrest. I also used a circle cutting jig on the bandsaw to cut the stool seat.
