Description: Welcome to my recent metal detecting adventure (from the same area). This relic hunt was physically demanding, with lots of elevation changes in difficult, slick terrain. Although there was no gold or silver, I can't complain about the finds. The highlight this time was probably a French (1800's) military button in excellent condition. I tried to find out more about it, but I'm still not entirely sure. There are similar examples on a French metal detecting forum, with its users mentioning the French national guard: detecteur.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=127514 I made other finds as well like a (copper) ring, 1 1/2 horseshoes, other silver plated buttons and even a small (late) 1800's coin spill. I will continue to investigate this area and hope that you are not bored of it yet :).
