Description: Planning to make DPF monitor to control particulate filter regeneration state and made a teaser some time ago. Seeed company decided to provide their device - Wio Terminal - as a way to contribute to the project. Here are my first impressions after few hours playing around with this cool device. ℹ️ Since #WioTerminal is equipped with Bluetooth and WiFi (as all IoT devices should be), which will make it easier to connect with vehicle via ELM327 Bluetooth scanner to pull data from the vehicle for #DPF monitoring. That's instead of hacking directly into CAN-BUS and sniff for data. 👍 Pros Works with #Arduino IDE. A lot of code examples. A lot of I/O connections. 👎 Cons No build-in battery. Needs to be connected to USB-C or requires additional equipment. 40-pin connector requires extension to fit on a Raspberry Pi. 🛠 Tech specs of Wio Terminal D51R CPU: 200MHz ATSAMD51 with 32MBit flash, running at 120MHz Display: 2.4 inch 320x240 Bluetooth: BLE 5.0 WiFi: a/b/g/n 2.4G/5G Connectors: USB-C (client + host), 40-pin GPIO, 2x Grove connector, IR microSD port (SDHC up to 16GB) Buttons: 3 user programmable, 4-way joystick, power/reset.
